A launch is the beginning of the journey of a rocket. A long, long journey!
This is a launch, not a start. With every start, there’s an end.

This rocket ain’t comin’ back!

Here’s a list of tools you need for the launch:

  1. A tape measure
  2. Decent bathroom scales
    {Support Livin on  the Skinny and get yours here in the sidebar. I use them and they are highly rated yet not highly priced.}
  3. A new way of thinking
    {Think…I want to be healthy. Not…I want to lose weight.}
  4. Some idea of HOW you gained weight
    {Fast food, menopause, injury, all of the above.}
  5. A piece of goal clothing
    {Something you might fit into if you lost 5-10 pounds.}

Good Eats by Livin on the Skinny was created to tell my friend’s story of weight loss and regaining health through Good Eats Eating (heathy eating.)

She has inspired me to pursue Good Eats Eating once again to reach the same goals.

Every weight loss story begins with a weight gain story.

We have been following the story of my friend and her phenomenal weight loss through healthy eating.

Before every weight loss story is a weight gain story!
I asked my friend HOW she had gained too much weight.
One of the reasons she gave was that she was ignorant about food.

Some days she ate a “snack” at McDonald’s.
  • Double Hamburger
  • Small Fries
  • Small Orange Drink

No cheese on the burger…we’re watching our weight!

 

She THOUGHT she was eating OK.
  • Lots of protein (2 hamburger patties)
  • Only ONE bun
  • No cheese
  • SMALL fries and soda
One day she looked up the nutrition facts on her “snack” out of curiosity.
All together, that double burger, small fry and small soda totalled…
!980 calories and 42 fat grams!
That, my friends, is enough to give anyone a heart attack… just reading it!

She freely admits that she was oblivious to the calorie and fat content of foods she was eating. She was properly shocked when she discovered what was in her “snack.”
She has changed her ways!

5 painless steps to declutter your closet.

Here’s a painless method to declutter that closet.

1. Take EVERYTHING out of the closet one Saturday morning. 

2. Sort by 3 piles:

  • Throw away. 
  • Give away. 
  • Keep.

3. Take Give Away to a charity.

4. Throw Away goes straight to the trash outside.

3. Put the Keep back in the closet by color and season.

4. Work fast!

5. Reward yourself.
